POLICY

Ugh, policies.  Policies are for corporations, not for mountain races.  Our growth has forced us to commit some things to writing.  The full policy layout is in the most recent Race Manual and we will add to it through Facebook Group site updates and through Ultrasignup email blasts.  Review it carefully before entering.

Refund Policy
 
For years, we dealt with these issues one at a time.  It gets pretty overwhelming and takes energy from me during race week that I need to mark the course.  Thus, we are using a pretty standard refund policy. 

1. We will refund 50% of your entry fee until July 1st at 11:59pm.
2. After July 1st, there will be no refunds.
3. We will not do any rollover or transfer of bibs.
4. IMTUF is a mountain race. If the race must be cancelled due to fire, severe weather, etc, there is no possible way for us to refund or rollover your entry. That money is gone. When you register, consider this issue and either commit or stick to safer races that run in circles.
5. If facing personal financial hardship, reach out to us.

Pandemic and other calamities...

If things get ugly prior to the race with whatever bugs and Acts of God the world is throwing at the American west, we will do what we have to do to make the race go, in accordance with what the authorities, land managers and insurers require.  We have strategic relationships for quick action that can make a great race happen when most other races would cancel. We have boots on the ground here in McCall and we will make every reasonable effort to make your training and sacrifices worthwhile.  No guarantees of course, but you came to the right place.  Keep training and let us work our magic.

Dogs

As in past years, dogs are not permitted to run the race with our runners.  This is a safety issue.  Dogs attract issues with other wild animals and the leashes tangle and cause tripping issues.  You may bring your pal to JMR and to crew spots if kept accompanied and leashed.
